Edinburgh Yarn Festival – Ysolda Teague – The Birlinn Yarn Company & Meet the Shepherd/ess
Main Event: Thursday 15th – Saturday 17th 10:00–17:30
Meet the Shepherd/ess: Sunday 18th – 10:00–14:00
It is getting quite exciting now … this year I won’t be Cinderella left wringing my hands on my wee Hebridean island but will be packing my bags (and my van full of wonderful Birlinn yarns), catching the ferry and heading off down through the mountainous passes to civilisation and the Edinburgh Yarn Festival.
While too rare and small to have my own stall, The Birlinn Yarn Company will be joining Ysolda Teague and her team on their stall during the main EYF event. I will be at Ysolda’s stall on Friday and Saturday to recount island tales of seafaring, seaweed nibbling sheep, crofting culture and island life to anyone who has time to chat while buying yarn of course!
EDINBURGH YARN FESTIVAL – THE BIRLINN YARN COMPANY – MEET THE SHEPHERDESS
New to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival the Meet the Shepherd/ess Event will take place on Sunday 18th March 10:00–14:00 — so if you haven’t totally yarned out, The Birlinn Yarn Company will join other farm-to-skein producers to set up our smaller stalls and have time to chat about our croft and farm lifestyles, very special sheep breeds plus the challenges and passions of being a shepherd/ess.
Apparently there will be coffee, croissants and knitting (well there is a surprise) as well as a few of the big names from the main event including Ysolda, Felicity Ford and KnitBritish. So come join us to unwind and chill, recount and share until next Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2019.
