Our Cowrie 'Maighdeag' yarn is a soft, peachy pink. There is just one place on the Isle of Berneray where you find cowrie shells. You have to walk very slowly across the sand, on the look out for tiny flecks of pink amongst the remains of deep blue muscle shells, creamy cockles and washed up seaweed. Nestled in your palm they seem like treasure. Brought home with other seashore finds, they remind you of salty air and white Hebridean beaches.
Knit it up on its own or combine it with one of our Natural yarns or Hebridean colours.
